In past games, i've recovered Stands-In-Pools amulet from a giant kollop in lake masobi near Suran. In my current game, as i was swimming in the lake, Stands-In-Pools herself jumped in and started swimming around. Talking to her gave me the quest to find her amulet and the reward was a secret about a talking dreugh. The questions:

1. I have a lot of mods running and some of them add new miscellaneous npcs and quests. Is stands-in-pools (and her quest) a genuine morrowind npc? Or the result of a mod? I can't recall ever seeing her before.

2. The directions she gives for the location of the dreugh (south east of Suran, near an island with a ruin) sound suspiciously like the location of the Talking Mudcrab Merchant. Has she confused a dreugh with a mudcrab? Or is she talking about something else?

Nevermind. I found the dreugh and it appears that it and Stands-In-Pools are the result of a mod (though i still don't know which one).

The dreugh sells pearls, dreugh wax and scales but only talks in glompy glurgle slurks. Interesting.
