Ok, how do you make a continous effect enchanted item?
|
First you need a soulgem, those yellow ones, what are they called ? Grand soulgems ? Secondly, you need a spell (soultrap) or a scroll, and third, you need the soul of either a Golden Saint or an Ascended Sleeper, other souls won't do. Then take your gem to an enchanter, who can be found in Mages guilds, together with the item you want to enchant, and choose the obvious option, which would be "enchant" doh :D
At the bottom of the screen you can switch between "constant effect" and "cast when strikes", etc....so don't forget to set that to "constant effect" after you placed the gem and the item in the required slots. If it's items you want to enchant, then don't forget they have to be of exquisite quality, any other stuff won't do. Which item do you want to enchant btw ? |
Thanks,
I have enchanted items before but never could get the constant effect. I think I havent used a golden saint yet. |
Pretty much everything my character is wearing is enchanted with constant effect upgrades. Lets see, the Cuirass of Saviours Hide, the Boots of the apostle, and the two rings i'm wearing already had enchantments on them, so there wasn't much i could do. My amulet is the Necromancers amulet, which was also already enchanted. And then there's my pants, shirt, belt, daedric greaves, Both Daedric Pauldrons, robe, katana, parrying katana, and Daedric longbow, all are enchanted with fortify strength constant effect, which currently gives my character a strength of 194. It took some time to get there, but the result is very satisfying. :D

Just FYI there are atleast 2 other souls becides Golden Saints and Ascended Sleepers that can be used to make constant effect enchantments. One of the two is avabile in "normal" Morrowind, the other is in Tribunal.

Two notes:
(1) The evil one: Along with Golden Saints and Ascended Sleepers, Vivec vill also do (2) The useful one: Use Azura Star, it's a perpetual Grand Sould Gem, which allows you to trap a soul, make an enchanted item (or recharge a magical item) - and the star is ready for trapping another soul, it will not vanish. Also, Vivec will not fit into a normal Grand Soul Gem, you will need the star. You should be able to complete Azura's quest when Golden Saints and Ascended Sleepers come into consideration. |
