Hmmmm...

I just killed Dagoth Gares in the main quest (following orders from Caius) and I DIDN'T get corpus. He didn't curse me, no corpus...nothing. I just whacked him with my sword and-- ker-plop. THen I go back to Caius and he's still telling me to investigate the Sixth House Base (duh).

I an actually doing this mission with a high lvl char because I completed Tribunal and Bloodmoon prior to even commencing the main quest. So I thought, well maybe I just whacked him to quickly and it skipped the script trigger. So I tried again from an earlier save & I got into a long drawn out battle and let him hit me lots of times... but in the end, still he just plops on the floor and doesn't give me Corpus like he should. Now it seems like the main quest is broken.

Help?????

I know Morrowind has SOME bugs, but this one is completely new to me. If i were you, i'd try the whole thing again (the 6th house base quest), or if possible, go back a savegame. If that doesn't help, i'd say you're screwed. Why on earth did you go to Mournhold and Solstheim BEFORE doing the original quests ?

Did you talk to him first?

It's like suicide. </font>[/QUOTE]The main quest in the original game to me is the end of all the quest in the game + expansion. So I tend to do the main quest in the original game last.
