I want to know 2 things:

1. How do I find the leader of the Orcs encamped in the Deadra Ruins near Pelagiad? Have only found and killed 3 Orcs so far, and none of them were leader, where can I look?

2. Can I store equipment at the Guild Chests? I have found a deadric spear but im crappy with spears so i just want to put it away for a while til I find someone rich enough to sell it to

Ad 2: Which chests exactly? If it is the "equipment chest" then the answer is No! The chest respawns. If it is a chest in the guild then be warned. The chest can be owned by somebody.

Sorry, there is no legitimate safe place for your items in the game! You'd better download some "house mod" and install it. The houses in the mods always contain safe chests where you can store your items. You can also store your items on the floor (table, and so on) in your house.
You need not install some extraordinary mod with dozens of features. There are good small mods with which run smoothly and which give you the needed storage for your items. For example, "Balmora House" mod.

There are two doors into the ruins. A front door that goes to the lower levels, and a back door that goes to an upper level. So you need to find the back door or go to the room with the statue in the ruin and levitate up to the upper level.

I'm not sure what you mean by legitimate... you can put stuff on the ground anywhere and it will stay there forever. Also, you may come across an abandoned house where you can set up shop in various towns (or you may have to make it abandoned yourself ;) ). Most 'legitimately', I suppose, is joining one of the three houses - once you are a certain level with them, they will build you a stronghold where you can live and keep all your stuff safely.

Another good reason for not putting stuff in guildhall chests is that when you go to take it out again, they think you're stealing from them, even if it is equipment you originally put in the chest. What's yours is their's, and what's their's... is still their's ;)

Well,In the guild, you can kill the people nearest to the chest so that you can use the chest over and over again without alarming them.

Other alternative though, Store it in some chest outside of town ( balmora for example ). just clear the content inside first before putting things inside.

yes, you can find the leader at the second floor. either you need to find the other entrance or use a levitate spell to go up there.

I downloaded a Balmora House mod, but it says that it is of the wrong version...but thats the only version I can find! Will it work anyway, as it does right now...or will it crash later on?

DalekBoy 09-23-2004 06:09 AM

It'll work fine. It's just Morrowind complaining. It wont stuff up at all. dont worry.

The mod was developed with a master file version different from the yours. Start the game editor and load the mod. Save it immediately without making any changes in it. This should put the master file version in order.

You need not do that. The mod should work okay without any intervention. Simply ignore the messages about the master file version and click "ok". The mod is simple (I know the mod) and it does not depend on any features of the game, which can change with master file version.
