Hi there, this is the first time i've posted on these boards (i think, i signed up along time ago to read the baldurs gate boards, but i've never really felt the need to post anything) so HI!!!!! I was wondering if anyone could help me out....

Well i've been playing Morrowind for about a week or so now and the main character im playing is a lvl 7 asassin, but the thing is whenever i seem to set out on a quest everything seems too hard, im a member of the hlallu (sp) house, the morag tong, the theives guild and the fighters guild and ive done a number of quests for each group but i get the feeling i have made a stupid mistake and maybe missed out on an early part of the game, as in i've missed out a major newb quest, becasue as i have said everything i do seems to be way to hard for my character.

Sorry if this makes no sense, any other information about my character you need i can post easily enough if you ask. if anyone has any tips about quests i should do or areas i should check out i'd really appreciate it, thanks in advance.

keep on leveling up, train your skills especially your favoured weapon skill, get better weapon, stock up your inventory with health potion, or if you have the latest patch then put the difficulty slider down to -100.

Level 7 in Morrowind is still consider "quite low". Concentrade more in training and level up more. You could always take a break and explore the world to gain a few levels first.

Also, it is better to "provoke" people to fight you instead of killing them outright because if you provoked and kill them (after they attack you), it is considered as "self-defence" but if you kill people outright, you will be fined or put to jail.

The other thing about provoking people to fight you is that his/her friend will not join in the fight, but if you initiate the hostility first, his friends or the guards will group in and slaughter you.

I'll agree with that. go out into the wilderness and kill things out there, but avoid the Ashlands unless absolutely nessassarry (i spelt that wrong, didnt i?), as there are evil which people that kill you easily

Thanks guys, just thought I'd let you know that I'm now really enjoying the game hehe, just took awhile to get into being so used to top down views as in BG, Planescape and Icewind. Running around in glass armor now and just hit level 34

Nice job, though i prefer the Dark Brotherhood's armour over glass. just my opinion though.
