im wondering if a level two with an imperial netch blade and a variety of spells should enter a tomb. ? and which one?

DalekBoy 07-03-2004 02:09 AM

oh, and what level would be good to enter deadric ruins or dwemer places?

promethius9594 07-03-2004 02:39 AM

1) possibly, although certain monsters in tombs require an enchanted weapon to kill them. i would wait until level 5 with some better weapons, personally.

2) ALOT higher than you are for daedric ruins. level 5 or so for dwemer, although there are some enemies in certain dwemer ruins which are tougher than others, so you have to go to certain ruins at certain times.

I think silver weapons also work.

nope, LS0158, certain monsters require enchanted blades to die (at least, at low levels they do).

Don't think so, Promethius.

I almost never bother with enchanted weapons early on, cuz I like to whack things repeatedly to build skill and besides, the enchanteds you can get in the early going wear out too fast. I don't ever remember coming accross any critter that couldn't be killed with conventional weapons.

I think the rule is that undeads and magical creatures [scamps, etc] are uneffected by chitin, iron and steel weapons: you need silver or better.

Oru

i dont know about that oruboris. i just remember that i was given a quest for something early on, and the giver gave me an enchanted dagger because, as she said, some of the monsters couldnt be killed without a weapon of magic.

it may or may not be fact, but thats what the quest giver told me, so thats what i've always gone by.

You mean this?

The tomb is south of Pelagiad, just off the road, just before you reach the fork where the road goes southwest towards Seyda Neen and southeast to Vivec. You may need an enchanted blade. Some spirits are immune to normal weapons. Here. Take this old shortsword. And maybe these old scrolls will come in handy.
Silver, Ebony, Glass, Darven, and Daedric (and others I'm probably forgetting) are not normal weapons, and therefor are fully capable of harming things that are immune to normal weapons. As far as the game is concerned "Normal Weapons" means the simplest weapons, steel, iron, chiten, wood, etc.

thanks for clearing that up seraph
