You can but you might face problems. Lot's of people have posted here 'cos the had problems with BG2 and Windows XP.

watch out for the "NPC is busy bug"!!
Install the latest patch to counter this one and everything else that should seem odd after installing BG2 on XP.

I have Windows XP Pro and have had no problems at all.

Since I downloaded the TOB patch from Bioware I haven't had any problems at all.

can't XP run emulation modes or something so it can emulate win98 or something if you have programs that only work under that version of windows?
