I am on a quest for house Hlaatu wherein I am suppose to steal formulas from an alchemist in Vivec. I have completed her quests, and have now tried to steal the formulas from her. However, even when I am in stealth mode, as soon as I take it, she turns around and reports my crime. Can these be stolen? Or do I have to taunt her to attack, and then take them. If I do that will it hurt me in the future? Does she play a part in other quests?

i havent had to talk to her since then... but you never know. just save before you try, and then keep doing it again and again until you get it right.

The questgiver won't be very happy if you kill the person you are supposed to steal from.
She does play a part in other quests, but they are quests that arn't associated with any group, so they don't need to be completed.
If you can't steal, then you can try some magic to help you out. In particular chameleon will be of great help.

Haven't done it, so I dunno, but would reccomend 100% chameleon.

My chameleon 100% for 5 seconds is one of the most useful DIY spells I've come up with...

You Have to Kill her if you don't know how to pick pocket because one of the Recipes needed is on her body. The other two are (one scroll is on the table & one is in a chest at the foot of the bed).

judges... BZZZT!!! WRONG!!! wrong quest dude. he only needs to steal the book with the formulas from her room, not any ingredients from her. I would use chameleon and steal the thing legit, as it will significantly boost you towards a rank up in sneak.

............ nah. i just take them, leave, hide them, pay my fine, and grab the blighters again.
