I've had problems with talking to shopkeepers and bystanders in BG2 and I've just checked the global variables with Shadowkeeper, and it turns out that my bystander variable is at 1113111. I dont think this is normal.. can anyone tell me if this is what is causing me to miss out on dialouges?
Everytime I try to talk to certain people the game tells me that they are busy and cannot talk at the moment. Its nothing within the game thats holding up conversation, like fighting or spell effects, I just cant talk to them.
Can anyone give me some advice on this?

This is a know bug, download the newest patch from interplay.

My Bystander value in one game is 681104
In another it is 789105

Which must mean that it changes with different people you talk to..... so that probably Isnt the problem... though it could be.
