I have a silly question about the gondolas in Vivec - you know, the boats you can take from some of the cantons to other cantons. Well for the first time just now I turned to look at one of them after travelling in it, and noticed that instead of floating horizontally, it was positioned vertically so half of it was underwater and the other half was pointing up into the sky! Which seemed totally weird; I mean, you'd have to bail it out every time you wanted to use it! Anyone else noticed this or have a reasonable explanation for it?

Yes, that's a known issue, if you are longer in the game. they'll sink to the bottom of the water. I've seen somewhere that there's a mod out there that fixes this problem.

SWEET! I'll have to go take a boat ride: sounds pretty funny.

On a related note, the teleport girl in Ald Ruhn keeps sinking through my floor: for a while there, only the top of her head was visible. She's been slowly working her way upwards, lately.

This happened in my last game, too, but she sunk out of sight and didn't come back. She stops speaking to you once she's down to her elbows and won't send you anywhere after that...

HAHAHAHAHA, good thing you can take the silt strider to balmora and catch the mages guild there. I've got the GotY edition and i've never had to deal with either problem. yall should look at some of the recent updates.

LOL Oruboris . At least this is just a little quirk and doesn't affect my gameplay! Vivec is excruciating enough to get around as it is without not being able to use the gondolas! I think the only other silly thing I've come across is in Balmora occasionally people fall into the river, and you go across the bridge and see these heads popping out of the water staring up at you :D

LOL that reminds me of that guy in Gnisis who needs his pants.... I told him on day 6 that I'd get them back and it's now day 54.... you'd think by that stage you'd swallow your pride :D

heh, aelia, i know what you mean. i spent a long time looking for someone who was supposed to be near the river in balmora... finally just jumped in for a swim and there he was.

Could this also be the reason why the mastertrainer in medium armour doesn't appear where she is supposed to be ? According to my information her name is Cinia Urtius, and she is supposed to be standing at the docks near Tel Fyr, but there's noone there.

Fallen through the ground perhaps ?

Pants guy stays in the river forever-- the longer he waits, the worse the shrinkage gets...

no Johnny, that person was never put inside the game.

I've generally found that the Vivec gondolas tip over if you've jumped from one of the top two levels of any canton to the bottom, especially anywhere near the gondolier (jumping off at another side of the canton doesn't seem to have this effect). I've still been able to use them, however. Heck, I don't have to do the bailing, so what do I care?

As for people jumping off the docks, I've also seen that in Ebonheart (in fact, I just saw a guard swim under one of the boats there, looks suspicious to me) and the Telvanni ports like Tel Mora and Vos; yes, sometimes your quest givers are in the water. Amazing how well some of these folks swim in full armor.
