Al right I was at Ald'runn. I was walking back to Balmora to do the main quest. But while on my road I came across this woman. She requested that I escort her to the Ghostgate. At the time I haven't heard of Ghost Gate. When I finnaly reached there I talked to the two scouts and learned this is the Gate to the dreaded Red Mountain. With that evil immortal demon. I talked to the woman and she wanted me to go INSIDE the red mountain area. I though she was nuts but I thought I would get a big reward for this. I first came across an Ash Slave. Damn it was hard to kill that thing. I only managed to kill it by casting firebite over and over when it was not responding for some reason. I finnaly reach the shrine the woman wanted me to take her. Not only I get a measely 100 gold I get attitude! I was angry so I freaking killed her. You can't imagine my surprise when she had 400 coins. Would killing her affect the game in anyway?

I doubt it. Maybe go check at the temple to make sure they still like you since she was a temple sort... but most likely no one would know of her since you killed her in such a remote place. And since there's no reputation or such in morrowind, you won't have any ill effects from that.

LOL I remember wandering about for ages with her and finally just leaving her in the middle of nowhere :D

Try to avoid these "babysit" assignments as much as possible, unless you really need the money. They'll only get in the way if suddenly you need to fight a few monsters on your path. I usually ended up killing them accidentally, because they jumped right in front of my sword.

Hm I will take heed of your wise words Johnny! I can't help but find it much unrealistic that the one I'm escorting always charges at the enemy whenever I don't catch sight of the enemy right away. Bare fists against an wild Guar ha!

Yes I agree! Someone who is so weak and incompetent to take any old adventurer that comes their way as a guide really shouldn't be charging at guars and cliff racers and those little demon guys ;)

It even happened when i had to escort one of those wise women to that island. She was walking on water, but a slaughterfish came and attacked her. She ended up dead. and i had to go a savegame back. What a stupid way to die. :D

One of the few gripes I have about Morrowind is the quest rewards. It's probably because I'm used to infinity engine games where quest reward = experience/gold/useful items. Or if the items aren't useful you can sell them. Morrowind quests rarely give you any increase in your abilities unless you get a book or that Nord who gives you +2 strength. The gold is generally fairly trivial and the value of enchanted items is really out of whack. Even when you do get a really valueable item - just about nobody can buy it from you.

yeah I hate those escorting quest. the people who you need to escort is soooooooo slow even if you walk. plus they can't go over river, mountains or any obstacle which your char can easily jump/levitate above it.

There are ways around those problems. Go find a spellmaker and make a spell to fortify speed on touch. Also make a spell to grant walk on water on touch. Mountains I'm not sure about, I've never tried a levitate on touch spell.
