I went and spoke to the outcast Nord and he gave me the special ice pick in order to get a piece and bring it back to him.

I've tried to break a piece off with the pick, but nothing happens. My strength is at 90. Do I need to increase it or am I doing something wrong?</font>

Just don't equip the ice pick. Have it in youre inventory, and just open up the stahlrim like any other treasure chest, spacebar. If it doesn't work, then seek Tech Help.

stock up your inventory with lots of healing potions or put the difficulty option to -100.
