Second, I bought morrowind as the game of the year edition as well as both expansions. Do the expansions just add more options and things like that or do they both need to be started somewhere. Like is there one big adventure per each expansion?

There's nothing special with it but if you haven't kill Former Archmage Trebonoius You'll get to do a special quest after you beat the game.

You'll get more new spells, can tell blacksmith to craft weapon/armor for you. Can donate your specific items to a museum and so and so.. Each expansion is like an adventure.

IIRC it's part of Bloodmoon main quest. So don't worry

Ok, some other questions then. How do I start the quest after trebonious is dead, and where do I get this glass armour that I hear about?

Glass armor can be purchased from the weapon smith in ghostgate. Often found on some upper level enemies, as well.
