I've been playing Morrowind off and on for a while now, but when I went to load my game (saved in the Daedric ruins northeast of Vivec), all I get is a gray screen after the game loads, with only the crosshair, minimap, and selected weapon/spell. I can still move (very slowly), but I can't cast spells, open doors, etc. I can access the inventory, console and menu as well. But apart from that, I think I'm screwed. Has this happened to anyone before? If so, can you propose anything I could do to fix it?

Very odd: must be pretty crazy making...

Just wondering if you checked your stats etc.: perhaps your charcter caught something nasty just before you saved, and his speed is drained, and is partially blinded...

OK, I know that isn't likely: just grasping at straws...

do you still have your auto save game? try loading it up and see.

Are you loading up with the exact same plugins active?

Oh, I forgot to mention - I saved in the ruins, but while I load the game I'm in Moonmoth Legion fort!

There is nothing wrong with my stats, my autosave was overwritten, and the plugins are the same. I think I'm totally screwed. :(

Hmmm. IMO I think you either thought you saved where you wanted but actually didn't OR somehow your save game got deleted. Thus, maybe nothing wrong with your game. Just a mistake. (Shrugs shoulder) [img]smile.gif[/img] Oh well, you at least get to play more Morrowind. Woo hoo! :D
