Finally, after much hardship and sweat I manage to collect a few grand soul stones and a number of summon golden saint scrolls. So I decide to use these precious few possibilities for constant effect enchantments on rings and amulets.

I had decided upon character creation that my main attribute would be luck. So with every level up I put one point in luck.
One exquisite amulet of luck coming up. IIRC fortify luck 1 - 49, constant effect. For good measure I also created a exquisite ring of luck with the same enchantement. Then i gave my ebony tower shield a nice constant 1-59 fortify strength.

Happy with the three hard won enchanted items i went cave looting again. I stumbled upon a cave called nammu (or something like that) and to my great astonishment and surprise found no less than nine (9!) grand soul gems.

Okay, this isn't funny anymore. It took ages to find my first three grand soul gems and now, with one cave, i'm drowning in the things. I know i doubled my Luck with those constant enchantments but if this is the effect then luck is the most important attribute in the game.

So now i'm running around with:

- Ring of invisibility (constant effect invisibility) - great for running around the wilderness; no pesky cliff racers. Even better combined with:
- Shirt of flying (levitate, constant effect) - No more running around mountains. Up and over to glory, last one in berlin is a rotten egg! (sorry, got carried away, blackadder style :D )
- Shirt of swimming (water breathing and swift swim)
- Skirt of chameleon (chameleon 1-23%)
- Helm of willpower (fortify willpower 1-49?)
- Right mace bracer of strength (Constant bound mace and 1-7 fortify strength)
- Left bow bracer of strength (Constant bound long bow and 1-7 fortify strength)

And some more things i'm forgetting. ;)

But now for a question: Is luck such a determining factor? I think it also greatly affected the price of the later enchantments i bought. Any idea how it affects things like combat or stealth or lockpicken etc.? Or finding better items?

there are tons of caves packed with grand soul gems, especially the ones near molag mar and such. Im usually sell like 10 at a time . I might have kept them if i didnt have azuras star (good ole unlimited souls).

well, i looked in the construction set and according to the gamplay settings of luck modifyer (sp?) it says 0.1000 or 10. This could mean that Luck effects about 10% everything. That's a hefty amount IMO. So yeah, go nuts and Luckify yourself. It also helps enchanting better which is big boost.

Since you're from Amsterdam, home of lucky Ajax, i guess "lucky Deejax" is a very suitable name for you now. :D

Ajax, lemmethink. Doesn't that have to do with soccer? Why are they lucky? Last minute goal?

I do remember something about ajax and Utrecht fans getting into a fight at the museum square in Amsterdam. (after a match between PSV and Utrecht ) You're from Utrecht, right Johnny? :D

err i dont no if it works on the computer but on xbox i only need one grand soul gem with a golden saint in it all i do is put it up for enchanting and then get the bar to say constant effect then switch it out with a common soul gem with a skeleton or sumthing and i still get the constant effect so sawt after. err i cant spell either

steveum 08-18-2003 06:49 PM

ohh sry forgot to ask how many souls can u have in the azur star and y does the azur's servent suck?????he or she was a deadric god or king or sumthing after all right

Kakero 08-18-2003 11:12 PM

only one soul in azura star.

Azura servant sucks because she's just a servant. do you expect her to be as powerful as a goddess?

Another reason that you found those grand sould gems is that the higher level you are the loot you get from caves and other stuff gets better. I never have a good luck but when I go in a cave with my higher level characters I get lots of stuff like grand soul gems
