Does the hammer of thunderbolts have any other special abilities when wielded with the girdle of frost giant srength and the gauntlets of ogre power? If so how do they compare to it's abilities when forged with these and the scroll into the crom faeyr?

Crom Faeyr is one hell of a weapon, putting your strength up at 18/00
and instantly killing ettins, clay golems and trolls.
There were some more, but I think somebody else has all the specific stats.
But I can assure you. Crom Faeyr > all of the stuff loose.

When you take that group of items to Cromwell, he makes it into this kick-ass hammer that gives the weilder 25 STR, kills some monsters instantly, and has good stats.

I was really torn about making it, and am glad I did. If you search for:

Should I make the Hammer?

you'll see all the info about it.

It actually puts your strength up to 25 very useful indeed.

The only drawbacks to building the Crom Faeyr are:

You combine 2 STR-enhancing items to make 1, so if you've got 3 party members with low STR, one of them is going to have to be weak again, at least until you get another Strength girdle near the very end of BG2. Also, the Crom only confers 25 STR when it's actually in your hand (either hand), so using other weapons might be problematic: Say you use the STR bonus to equip some really heavy Full Plate on Viconia--if she needs to use her Sling, she's suddenly going to be too weak to move, until she equips the Crom again.

The Crom Faeyr also does some lightning damage with each hit, even though it doesn't say so in the weapon's description.
