On the mission to get the Nord away from the entrance to the mine, is there another option to complete the quest with out killing him? I've tried a few different ways, but he refuses to do anything but fight and even when I've knocked him out I don't get completion credit till he dies. Just wondering if there's an alternitive.

Did you try to just beat the crap out of him until he surrenders? if he doesn't then just kill him.

You must punch him until he surrenders. I guess you must punch him enough to damage his health, which happens after you have knocked his fatigue to 0. It takes quite a bit of skill. I had to train to 50 to be able to complete the quest.

Just mark the place, cast almsivi intervention, take the silt to ald ruhn, train in the ald ruhn temple and get back with a recall to punch the crap out of the stubborn skaal.

That's the thing ..... he never surrenders .... just lays unconscious until he dies.

Weird. He first talked to me saying he would never give up, and soon after he sobered up and said ok I'm going away don't hurt me master.

Try and let him breathe instead of punching him remorseless while on the ground.
