Does anyone know why this doesn't work? I can't remember the last time I successfully opened something with this spell. I have scrolls of it, and I tried to open two chests with lock strength 75, which is well under the limit of the spell, but both times, plus a number of other times before this, it didn't work, just a purple swirly graphic and a whoosh and the chest still locked. My security skill isn't high enough to open them with picks either so it's this spell or nothing [img]graemlins/awcrap.gif[/img]

Maybe the programmer put the wrong lock values on the scroll?

Which magic skill does Ekash's Lock Splitter belong? is the magic skill high enough? try to train it until 100. maybe you always fail because the skill is not high enough.

yeah but if that was the problem she wouldnt get the the magic graphic, wouldnt the spell failed message come up instead?

If it's on a scroll, shouldn't allways work as if your skill was at 100?

I don't recall a scroll has ever failed for me.

Ekash's Lock splitter never existed as a spell. At least not that I've found in the shops. It only exist as a scroll as far as I recall, and I've had about as much success with it as Aelia.

kinda think about it again, maybe scrolls have nothing to do with magic skills. I mean I always succeeded in casting the Incarian Flight scroll even at level 1 while still new to the game.

Yes you should always be successful at casting a spell from a scroll, Kakero. And I mean it is working, with the graphic and all! Just doesn't do anything :(

yeah I know I just tested it. A level 1 character seems to have 50% chance of succeeding the scroll he cast ( IMO of course ) . but my level 80 nord always succeeded in every scroll casting. strange indeed.
