I just tried brewing up some: moon sugar, shalk resin, ash yam and daedra skin to make my own super potent skooma... but it won't let me!! The 'fortify speed' effect will show up in the box but no matter what i chuck in, the 'fortify strength' component will not show up! It seems that these two alchemical effects cannot be combined in the one potion. Is there some logical explanation for this?

you can't. technically there's no such things as skooma. ;)
Don't waste your time, Like Kakero said Skooma doesn't exist in the normal Potion creation. Skooma is brewed like Wiskey by smugglers and nobody else knows how to make it. As far as super skooma nice try

Damn, there goes my chance of opening a saloon in Vivec. :D

Alright, that sucks! According to the listed effects of the ingredients i'm combining, i should be able able to make my own 'super' skooma minus all the negative effects that come with it. Apart from the fact that skooma is illicit produce, is there a 'logical' explanation as to why i can't make my own?
simple, the game maker didn't add in the program command for you to make skooma into the game.

Certainly can't. Bloody programmers! I'll have to settle for a different combo. Now if i mix... *walks off mumbling*
well, looks like this call for a mod/plugin don't you think so?
A mod would be good, but i need a bit more practice with the editor. But it's no biggie. There's plenty of alternatives when it comes to alchemy combos.
