Hi to everybody back here at Ironworks
- Its been a while but I finally got into Morrowind. -

I still haven't played it yet - because after seeing some of the fantastic, amazing, super creative, wonderful, delightful, entertaining, amazing(did I say amazing) plugins that have been developed and posted (much, much sucking, so that experienced mod builders, may take pitty on me and share a some of their immense and awe inspiring knowledge). I decided, that before I get into the game I would enhance my version with some of the above mentioned plugins.(looks good on paper, but........).

OK, so now I've got myself all (yes all) the great mods (enhancing NPCs, Sounds, Levelling, Features as well a a bunch of additional buildings, quests armour and other asorted items). Oh dear! lets talk about conflicts?

Alright, Ok, so now I've also got myself some modding tools - TESPCD, TESAME, ESPCleaner, List Merger114, Tesmu and altered the construction set to enable creating esm's.

Now for a bit of reading?!, (I think) All the doc's on building, creating and cleaning esp's.

So far I've been going pretty good, making sure that the set of esp's I have all go together right (deleting, merging, importing/exporting, combining etc.) except for one small area????? - NPC DIALOG -

Can someone please, please, please

Explain/tell me, whether to delete "same as" INFO,info/R references under dialog - TOPIC or not. My TESPCD is filling pages of "Dialog Text Identical to Default Entry. (Unclean Entry)" but I read somewhere, " - Be CAREFUL when using TESAME. many people mess up their dialog, because they clean topics they thought they aught not to have changed - be aware that topic responses next to ones you inserted NEED to be changed, because dialogue is a linked list. Dont remove those."

Sorry about the really, really, really, really long post. - (but I've been working two weeks on this and I don't want to mess it up)

emmm..do not delete any dialog. One delete of it will effect npc dialog in the entire game.

you may add some though but be very very careful. but then again is it necessary to modify the dialog?

for plugin, just load the plugin in tes :editor. make it an active one and then say yes to everything. save the plugin then.

Thanx Kakero

The mods I'm working with aren't my mods, there ones that I've chosen to download, many for the reseason that they add or alter some of the original game dialog in some way (ie. persausion response expansion v3)

I've cleaned the all the other Mods of "Identical references - Objects etc., so that they won't overwrite each other, but the dialog area seems to need the original material???? So what do I do about all the - "Dialog Text Identical to Default Entry. (Unclean Entry)" messages. Will the game be able to still reference the original TEXT in the TOPICS if I "clean" the mods of the "identical Text"

just make it active, say yes to all. and then save it. I always do that. no need to worry.
