was just wondering if Pack Guar's are real things (i'm still sort of unfamiliar with everything in the game)? and if so, where can i get one? i can carry 600 right now, cause of some gauntlets i found...but it would be neat to have a guar. i always wondered why they never put horses in the game, cause that would rock rather hard. but thats a whole new world of skills they'd have to introduce...

you'll need a pack guar mod for that, for horse you'll need a horse mod for that. you can find them in morrowindfiles.com

The Tribunal add-on has a fellow in Mournhold which will carry stuff and follow you around.
Personally I find anything which I have to babysit a nuisance. If your pack mate should be killed, then all your stuff is left there and you have find a way to get the stuff back.

The packguar mod allows you to buy such an animal near the main entrance of Balmora. When you're attacked, the guar may come to your aid, however, when it takes too much damage, it will retreat, and rejoin you once the fight is over. They made it smart enough to do this, it won't get easily killed that way.

and apparently, there's a new script that will allow your companion to instantly teleport to where you are when you companion is too far or get stuck.
