I would have stuck this in my other level up thread... but it waylaid by lightsabres... ;)

Anyway, say I have 40/100 in long blade and I get training. Will that give me a whole point and I still have 40/100 towards my NEXT point, or will it just finish off what I have left on this point (ie give me 60 towards it)?

I also have an unlevelup related question - every so often the game dumps me out. It doesn't freeze up, and I can start the game again straight away with no restarts and so on. Is there something obvious wrong that I can fix?

okay, you have 40/100 in long blade, when you train it by teacher, it will become 41/100.

if you train the hard way ( by attacking monster ). put your mouse cursor at your long blade. there's a number in it. to more you attack the higher it become. so eventually the 40/100 your long blade will slowly become 41/100.

about your second question. sadly, it happen to all of us.

Sorry, no I meant 40/100 when I put my cursor over long blade. Like say I have 35 in long blade, and I have 40/100 towards getting it to 36.

oh me see, you have 40/100, by training it the hard way, it will slowly raise itself from 40/100 to 50/100 to 60/100 and finally to 100/100. when that happens, your 35 in long blade will become a 36.

I can't answer your first question Aelia, to tell you the truth, i never even thought about that. Now i wanna know too, thanks for that. :D

To answer your second question... it's a problem we all have to live with, there's not a patch out there that will fix this. Sometimes i can play for two days without crashing once, and then suddenly it happens 4 or 5 times in one day. My advice is, press F5 every few minutes, so when it happens, you don't have to go back too far in the game.

Yes I do realise that. Doesn't really answer my question ;) . *sighs* I suppose I'll just test it out myself

I thought maybe that if it did just finish off what I've already done towards it it might be cheaper than if I'd done nothing towards it, like say if I trained a skill I had 0/100 towards it would be 400gp, but if I had 40/100 towards it it might be like 320gp or something.

Hehe . I think too much, that's my problem ;)

Well damn. Yeah I have been saving regularly, I do it in every game actually cause I HATE having to go back and do things over, like if I die or something.

oh, I didn't know you were asking for the price. the price for 35 in blade up to 36 is the same whether you got 0/100 or 40/100.

if you worry about the price then there is ways of making it lower.

Vedran 03-08-2003 06:34 PM

I think it just goes for 100%, so 40/100 of 35 will become 40/100 of 36. Or similar.

TheSlayer 03-08-2003 08:32 PM

I believe that it will go up with 100%. That would be the only logical possibiliy.
