I downloaded the patch for Morrowind, but every time I install it it at some point says: "Invalid Patch File". What's wrong? It *is* the European Version that I need right?
Well, if you have a European copy, i suggest you use a European patch, if there even is such a thing. Otherwise you're in for conflicts.
It may have been corrupted in the download. Try downloading to another location on your hard drive and then install from there.
which patch file is it, there's one for morrowind and there another for tribunal.
No, I'm sure I downloaded both the European AND the Morrowind (not Tribunal) patch. So that's not the problem. I'll try again though, and inform you about the results.

This is going to sound very bizarre, but... defrag your HDD.
I've also had the "Invalid Patch File" error, after a reinstall of the game, using the same patch that had previously worked, so I knew there was nothing wrong with the file. After defragging the hard drive, so that the patch could actually replace the needed game files, the patch worked fine again. Hope this helps. |
I had this prob also, then i worked out i had the euro deluxe edition, so you have to download the nothamerican patch.
