Ok ..... So here I am, the Nerevarine, Hortator of Houses, Slayer of Big Bad Guy, and Archmagister of House Telvani (among many other "Master" titles). Being curious, I'm walking around talking to people. I speak to the Duke - he thanks me for my dealings with his brother (killed em) and names me Grandmaster of Hlaalu ???? I am now a recruit of Hlaalu?!?

that's a known bug, install the latest patch.

Why patch? You get a grandmaster title 4 free... :D

Seriously, keep your game patched, since patches address many known bugs - most of the bugs reported on this forum were due to unpatched (or unpatchable Xbox) games

yeah, you get to become grandmaster for free. but it will not bring you another stronghold for free.

Who needs those crappy strongholds? download a mod with a decent house, that's what you need - I suggest Balmora Private Tower

I like the Balmora House on the Hill myself ....

I also use the Green Telvani Stronghold ....

strange, I've just tested it as well. but he didn't offer me a grandmaster title. mine is the tribunal version.

tribunal version automatically patches you morrowind game to the latest version...

I have tribunal too - but he thanked me for *not* killing his brother. Any difference?
