Hope someone here can give me a hand here: installed morrowind, main menu comes up, but when I try to play, I get an 'unkown framerate' error message and it kicks me out...

Any thoughts?

What system are you running ?

I had that at the beginning also.
I run a custom build, with Radeon. I went into display settings, and set my 3d graphics Hz to run with "same as desk top". Ensured that under Morrowind, options the display was matched to my desktop also, 1024x768 @32bit.

Afraid my machine is a bit dated...

Athalon 550, 256megs, voodoo5 [I think], Win 98se.

Found the display settings, 'same as desktop' wasn't an issue, tried the others, none worked.

Is it possible I need a patch or something?

I don't know if it will help the issue that you're having problems with. As far as I can tell it only fixes problems within the game itself. Good luck and happy hunting. I hope you get it fixed it's a game worth playing. </font>

Radeon is the name of graphic card. eg, ATI RADEON 8500 LE which I have right now.

I want a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro... eh, my crappy Nvida Geforce2 MX 200 will have to suit me until I can 1) buy a new card, or 2) build my new system for college
