Okay... here we go again. :D This is one of the mages guild quests. Edwinna send me to Nschuleftingh to get a dwemer excavation report. So far no problems. It's supposed to be on the dead body of someone named Anes Vendu. I found that guy, but no excavation report. Is it somewhere else, or is this a bug ? If it's a bug, can someone tell me how to cheat that report back into the game ? Before i posted this, i went to my houses in Vivec and Balmora and checked everything to make sure i didn't already have it somewhere, and then i checked it again. It wouldn't be the first time something stupid like that would happen to me. But i don't have it, so help me out please.

I -believe- that the report is not -on- the body's inventory, but rather, laying nearby the body. I think it's a common-looking scroll or book. Look around again.

Thanks guys, but i already did that, twice. It's driving me nuts, i believe the first time i played this game the same thing happened to me and i never got to finish all the mages guild quests. So just in case it's a bug.... is there any chance i can bring this scroll or book into the game with a cheat ? I really hate that, but i guess i don't have any other options.

Did you turn the crank and go into the secret passage? I know its near the body, ive seen it before. Explore the ruins around there.

Yep, did that too, no report. I really believe it's a bug. So is there a cheat to get it anyway ?

<font color = aqua> Johnny, go to the first room on the right hand side when you come through the entrance. There was an orc there I think that you have to kill. In the far corner there is a shelf. You have to look very carefully but there is a piece of paper there. That's the piece you need to complete the quest. I don't think I found it on the body if I remember correctly. You need to go into the TES Construction Kit, find the report and get its ID (Not what it is called in the game) then type playeradd->"type ID here" 1
This will put it into your inventory (Could be addplayer not playeradd, im not sure which)

erm am i being stupid in thinking that you find the dead body and talk to the guy in there about it who GIVES you the excavation report, you dont find it lying around....
