So i want to dual-class a mage/druid ...
Dualling to druid at magelvl 10 ....
But i also want to solo, so .. Isnt a 1st lvl druid going to find it a tad hard to survive in a world a 10th lvl mage probably has trouble with ??
How do i overcome this, since a kobold will be 2X more powerfull than me ..

Not the answer to the question exactly but a Mage/Druid dual class is not permitted (a dual class combination must also be a valid multi-class combination). Therefore druids can only be dualled to/from fighters.

Why would you want to dual from mage to Druid? I can't understand why somebody would want to dual a mage in the first place. If you want somebody with only few spells and some fighting skills use a Bard instead or better a multi-class fighter/mage and even better dual fighter/mage.

I wanted to dual a mage to druid, purely because of the stoneskin and extra skeleton warriors .... ( a specialist mage will be able to cast -3- lvl 5 spells, 3 more skel's allways come in handy.
But druid was the real class i wanted...

Anywayz .... I fell in love with the avenger now
I did Irenicus Dungeon over 10 times now, but i'ne never liked it more !!!!!! A sword spider, poisening 5 imps/kobolds/duergar per round is so much fun ... See them run in fear, dying after 20 yards
MWUHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!! Or spit at them with firebolts, being a fire salamander

Unfortunately, like Ceridan said, the druid/mage combo is not allowed in BG2.

Yeah, there's no mage/druid allowed. Mage/cleric is pretty darn powerful, though.

Avenger is as good as magic-oriented Druids get. I love my Avenger! He's up to level 20 right now, having done 2 levels of Watcher's Keep and most of Amn. Now he spend most of his time transformed into a Fire Elemental -- it's the one form I've found which lets him initiate dialog.

And as the Great Druid, he gets a bazillion spells, too.

Get ToB! It makes Druids quite a bit better, and that says a lot.
