I've now completed I think all of Master Aryon's quests, but he says that I have forsaken my right to magister.
I really don't get it, I haven't killed anyone, and even if I did, Telvanni don't care.
I'm confused and need help!

I got that too, try all of the conversation topics. He will promote you to Magister and suggest you "talk" to Goerith (or something) about the Arch-Magister slot.

Well, none of the conversation topics work, the only two that have anything to do with that is the advancement topic and the magister topic, but he says that I have forsworn my chance to magister.

Did you add a lot of plug ins ? Sometimes it could cause problems and once you've removed the plug in in question it will be fine again. Just a tip.

i did that with warriors, he said "ill retire if you do these tasks for me" and asks me to kill 3 thieve bosses which as im in thieves guild i dont want to do, so i taunted him to attack me hacked him up (hardheart) and then hacked up the other guy who wanted to be warrior boss (the orc) and was declared new master and now everyone in fighters guild loves me [img]smile.gif[/img] (you can tell cos when you walk past people they start being very flattering such as "your nearly a legend around here" though i dont like the nearly part ;) )

Well the situation in the fighters guild is a little different, because as a quest given by Percius Mercius you are to kill both those NPC's to become guildmaster. But I dont' think that you can just kill Master Aryon and have the same effect. I haven't tried it so I'm not really sure.
And I have the xbox version, so plugins are not the problem.

try it you might like it [img]smile.gif[/img] just save beforehand, kill him, go to your inventory check your guild level, if you can go no higher then it was a success

Well I killed Aryon, but do you have to kill ALL the other councelors as well? Because when I killed Aryon, the only other dead councelor was gothren and I didn't advance at all.

Do you get anything good if you are in Telvanni?

Well the high Telvani councelors are mainly powerful wizards, so if that's the kind of route you want to go, you get taught spells along the way from different quest givers(for free of course), and you get some pretty decent items for doing quests for Master Aryon, well early on in the game. And I really think that the stronghold you get is way better than those of Redoran of Hlallu.
