I'm very tempted to get Morrowind [img]smile.gif[/img] but haven't played I or II. Would that put me at a significant disadvantage or do the games not follow on that much? Is it worth getting Elder Scrolls I and II?

First of all, it is not necessary to play Elderscrolls I or II.
As for ES II Daggerfall, you should get the patch, otherwise the game is unplayable. Besides I found Daggerfall a little bit too huge. The dungeons (especiallay the random created) are not very easy to navigate in. ES I I never played.

Never played ES 1 and 2, but enjoyed MW hugely.

You cannot import characters from ES 2 to MW and MW takes place in another part of the world, so I don't think you miss much, if anything.
