hey all, i finally killed the mage and his henchmen, release the slaves. I would like to know where the water passage goes behind the mages loot hangout. the was a gate that the slave key opened and all i see is water.

question about swimming, do i have to have the skill to swim? and if i go under, how much time do i really have?

the best answer i can give is test it out and see. dont be scared of it. just go on in, if you die reload. but its not that long so i doubt you will drown. so give it a go.

Slackerboy's right, you should see for yourself. But it leads to another underground passage with some minor loot. The only enemy there is a hungry rat. The 'lake' next to the bandit mage also has some loot underwater.

There's is no skill required to swim. The closest one is Athletics and I belive that only determines how long you can hold your breadth and your swimming speed. As long as you come up regularly for breath you won't risk drowning. Swimming also helps build Athletics faster than running.
