What are you supposed to do with the beljuril? I have heard that you should save it, but what for? Thanks in advance.
|
Keep the Beljuril gem. In an abandoned house in the Bridge Distric, near fish seller, you find the silver horn of Vahalla. Take the silver horn and beljuril gem to a merchant in the promenade by the painter, and he'll uprgade it for you.
|
Before that though, you need a diamond for the first upgrade. I found one diamond in a chest in the thieves' hall in the docks area. The horn is a great piece to use. You get a lvl 11 berserker warrior from the last upgrade. The horn summons this being to fight for you. So keep the gem since getting the horn is pie. You will however need to cough up some cash for the upgrades as well but well worth it.

I have too much cash anyways, so thats ok. Thanks.

Yeah that's the problem with BG2 (in Throne of Bhaal they actually did something about it!). Can't you get two BEljuril gems? maybe i'm wrong... |
I never knew you could upgrade the horn. I always thought that the only way to upgrade things was to goto cromwell or cespanar(TOB)

Spoiler
- - - - - - - - - - - - - Supposedly if you pickpocket the chicken you will get a Beljuril and then you can get it off the guy. |
There's also one in the Windspear Hills, in the golem room.

Just nitpicking really, but when you find the horn, it summons a 5th level beserk warrior. The Diamond upgrade summons a 7th level and the beljuril gem upgrade summons a 9th level warrior, not 11th. The warrior has 17 STR, 90HP and **** in battle Axes, so isn't exactly wonderful but acts as a nice decoy.
