Im having some real problems with fighting that guy that you have to put together again from all the gold bits. Im playing on a multi player game at the moment (so I can make all the characters, of which I have 4: Fighter,Calalier,Sorcerer,Fighter/Thief all about Lv 11 or 12 ish) I can kill the Lich that appears first but is there anything once I have killed that to stop him from imprisoning all my guys when he becomes the Demi Lich. When he imprisons the people they just disapear - forever! how am I meant to stop a guy that just virtually vapourises my guys?! The other problem is that after killing him I ran off to recouperate before fighting the Demi version of him, but now when i go back, he is just sitting there not far from the door and he just casts imprison before i can do anything (on my main guy - so the game says that you have lost your main character then end)
I have even tried using editors to give my guys max resistance to everything and top saving throws, with any and all the items that I though would be able to help - but from what it seems the spell doesnt require a save!!! Instant death - how am i ever going to kill him if he just kills my main dude straight out?!?!?! Any help would be greatly appreciated! SirLame |
go to waukeens prominade, and see ribald. he has a couple of protection from magic scrolls. put it on ONE character, and use that character ONLY to fight him. make sure you have a +4 or better weapon equiped, and go pound him into undead sushi!!

I found that there is no set way to kill our "beloved" kangaxx. You just have to try different methods untill one suceeds. I killed him with a mage and a paladin. The mage had spell immunity (abjuration) on to absorb the imprisonments (he didn't cast anything else) while the paladin smacked him round the chops a few times with carsomyr. Try whatever method takes your fancy!

I LOVE when people ask this question because I get to post this, fifty ways to kill your kangaxx by kevin dorner, oh and go here to listen to the Music he made for it.http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/kangaxx.html
In old Athkatla in a house down by the dock Lies an undead necromancer with a death trap on his lock. If you should meet him you'll be soon deep down in rock Sent by the Demi-Lich that they call Kangaxx. If you're a brave one and your weapons are +4 And you've found the golden remains from the other tombs before: With luck and skill you won't end up at Toril's core. There must be fifty ways to kill your Kangaxx... ...Fifty ways to kill your Kangaxx. So don't forget to pocket pick, Rick, When he's just a plain lich, Mitch, You'll get two Rings of Gaxx, Max, Wear cumulatively. You'll just get one to start, Bart. And when the first lich is slain, Jane He'll go to Demi-Lich state, Nate: Act immediately. Read your Protection from Magic, Vajic, Or all read Scrolls of Undead, Fred, But not until he's gone Demi, Remi, Or he won't talk to thee. Summon up a Wizard Eye, Guy; Kangaxx can't imprison that, Matt. Cast yourself a Spell Immune, June, Abjuration's the key. What sort of weapons does it take to fell this foe Who's survived without a challenge since centuries ago? Are they expensive and where do you have to go... ...To get rid of Kangaxx? Some tools are pricey; perhaps you have no cash to spare And you can't shoplift from Ribald as the Amnish Guard is there. With all your abilities it doesn't seem unfair To have a cheaper way of killing Kangaxx... ...Cheaper way of killing Kangaxx... Wield the Improved Disrupting Mace, Grace, Or the Sling of Everard, Gerrard, You could use the Staff Of Rynn, Lynn, Better than +3. Knock him down with Crom Faeyr, Blair, Or the Magi's Stave, Dave, Could try the Withering Spear, Keir, To kill him expensively. But, the Carsomyr sword, Gord, Soulreaver from the Demon Knight, Dwight, Cutthroat from the tomb of Bodhi, Cody: Can be had for free. So make all the snares you can, Dan, And every Fire Elemental, Yentl. Get Hasted and Berserk, Kirk, For 55K X.P. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
I also found beating Kangaxx a really difficult thing to do, i actually found him harder than Firkraag. Your best bet is to give your strongest fighter a protection from magic scroll and have Kangaxx concentrate all his spells on him.
My biggest problem was finding weapon that could even damage him in his demilich state i eventually used the carsomyr which i got from Firkraag and even with that mighty godlike sword i still only inflicted about 3 points of damage per hit. Also one more thing don't forget to use the Ring of the Ram it'll probably inflict more damage to him than any weapon will. |
Tactics? Who needs your steenkeeng tactics. I'm sorry but the guys above me probably help you better. I'm just one to charge in blindlessly.
Although I did summon a bunch of animals. Also, Freedom counters Imprisonment. [ 02-23-2002: Message edited by: SoaS ]
|
Those scrolls really help - at least he cant hurt me, but... I cant hurt him either! Melfs Minute Meteors do about 1 damage a hit (which is seldom often). I do have the daystar, but it seems that that does no damage too, so im just left to MMM and the ring of the ram - im going to have to get Carsomnyr :( I hate Firkraag to me he is the hardest dragon i have fought, (with these characters I have only killed the shadow dragon in the shade lords place, and that was pretty tough) So...to the winspear hills... wish me luck! (lots of it!)

OH YEA!!!
Ok, I have just put Firkraag in the bin (a big one at that!) He was far easier than ever! After collecting Carsomnyr I went KanGaxx hunting, went straight in, first go and I creamed him! Using the scrolls from Ribald and beat him with Carsomnyr and the day star while giving him a pounding from MMM and the ring of the ram. Thanks guys, without you I didnt have a chance, thanks again! Sirlame Thanks once again [ 02-24-2002: Message edited by: SirLame ]
|
