The only thing that the patch has done for me is give me the warning messages about the installed mods when I start up the game. No NPC health bar, no Auto run button, nothing. I know it's installed, because the new version number reflects the change, but that's it. Any suggestions?

I do have the health bar and auto run, but I do have the annoying error messages about plugins.
Maybe you could try re-installing the patch and see if that works. |
Select the "Option" option from the main menu, if the patch is installed correctly, you would be able to see extra options being added there. For example, the difficulty slider and etc. The continous forward movement button is mapped to the button "Q" (by default).
Also, you might want to start the game with the original launcher as the old "No-CD" launcher is tailored for the unpatched version. The NPC health bar replaces your health bar once you are engaging your enemy. Initially I thought the bar would appear on top/bottom of the NPC's name, which makes more sense but the developers thought otherwise. [ 06-23-2002, 11:39 PM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ] |
Umm... It does NOT replace anything.
In fact, it's an ugly yellow-orange bar that appear right above your own life-bar, but it does not replace your own. Good thing, actually, as I would find it mighty annoying to know what my enemy could take while having no idea how close I was to death... ^_^ |
To Paladin2000,
Thanks for the tip. It was the No-cd version I was running. Works fine now. |
No problem. BTW, the patch also added a new EXE program, I think it is called "Morrowind Launcher" in your Morrowind folder. This launcher can be used to run the game directly, ala "NO-CD launcher".
