Hey there, Just like to find out if anyone out there went to download the mods at Morrowindfiles.com. I've downloaded a couple of Buildings into Balmora but i'm afriad it's doesnt work with the newly released patch. Says something about you might have errors playing the game. So far anyone tried and worked? i badly need a house of my own. can recommend? :D

Have you thought about your own stronghold?
When I installed the patch, I get these error messages when I am loading the game. I just click yes and the game works fine. It's kind of annoying having to click on these messages every time I play the game, but not that bad. |
Hmm nope. I've not gone that far to getting a stronghold. *sounds far to me though* so i'm wondering if i could find a decent plug-in that nets me a house ome way or another in balmora preferably so i can spend time decorating it with cool stuff =) *YAY* before i get the guide and continue on my solo journey to morrowindom.
Lady can u advise me on that? |
Same as Lady Avalon, althgough I don't have any plugins at the moment and still I suffer the messages. :(

hmmm i do have a few plugins myself. and like u guys i get that msg about loading it. hmmm but for a thought now. what plug-ins are u guys using or simply think it's of great usefullness. I've seen morrowindfiles but i just need some direct comments =)

Right now, I'm using two plugins, the real signposts and the Bitter Coast sounds. The signposts plugin is extremely helpful. I tried using a teleport house in Balmora, but it really screwed up my game, so I unchecked that one.
As for a stronghold Anamics, it's not as far as you think. Join one of the Great Houses and do the quests until you reach level 6 or 7. Then you can get your own stronghold. You do have some stages to go through before you can actually get your stronghold. If you don't want to go that way, just download some plugins and see if they work out. If it doesn't work, then just uncheck it and don't use it again. Personally, I would go for your own stronghold, but that's just my opinion. If anyone has any suggestions for correcting the error messages with the patch, that would be great. |
With some advice from another post (can't remember which, sorry):
I loaded each plugin into the editor, clicked through the warnings boxes, then resaved them. Stopped getting the in-game warnings from then on. Not sure if there are any issues with this though. As always, do this at your own risk, and each person's mileage may differ, but seems to work for me. |
The problem is caused by the different version of "morrowind.esm". Here is a trick to remove the warning message once and for all.
Solution: 1. Load your TES construction set. 2. click the "open" button (the one with the opne folder image) 3. Select "Morrowind.esm" and one of the plug-in that you want to use in the game. Click on the plug-in (make sure it is checked) and then click on the button "set as active file" or something. 4. Click "OK" to proceed. 5. Once the thing is all loaded up, click on the save button (the one with the diskette image). Click "yes" when the warning message appears. 6. Once this has been done, repeat step #2 for your other plug-ins. 7. Once all your plug-ins has been modified to work on the current version of "morrowind.esm", you will not get the warning message EVER. [ 06-24-2002, 02:16 AM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ] |
