To all those who has the prophecy guidebook. Issit all that useful? I'm starting my character for the god-knows-how-many times and always after 2 days of playing i feel i'm wondering around too aimlessly. True there are quests to be done but it's so huge. Cities seems to be endless etc. So i'm wondering if the guide has info on the history of each city and things to be found like NPCs or monsters to make Morrowind more enjoyable for myself.
Thanks to all that respond. |
Also, can anyone tell me what's in the guidebook? If i know i can get a daedric armour in some isolated village maybe it'll make me more determined to explore that area first. It's a guide book anyhow! :D
Do they have monster stats? Weopon stats? or whole list of Armour and Apparels!? that's so cool and i'll definately add the Prophecy guide into my collectors Item of RPG guides. ( well at least i dont cheat! ) |
The guide has chapters with:
A little help on character creation. Basic weapon and armor stats (no stats for specials, though). Alchemical information and what ingredients do. Stats on creatures. Maps of every section of the game world. Each map has numbered places with names of the places and brief descriptions. There is a map with travel routes shown for silt striders, ships, and mage teleports. Sections for: Main Quests Guild/Faction Quests Miscellaneous Quests Quests By Region Quests By Theme Romance Quests Vampire Quests And Other Quests That Don't Fit. It is helpful if you get stuck, but has an enormous chance to spoil you. Just the numbered map makes it worth it to me. Sometimes it is easy to lose your way in this game. The quest sections help if the quest giver doesn't give you enough info - it helps get you going in the right direction. I find it useful while others have not. It is a comfort when you are hopelessly stuck...I hate getting bogged down because I missed something or didn't understand a quest (the Disappearance Of The Dwarfs Quest comes to mind). That's my take on the book. Mark |
In my opinion, the guide book has been extremely helpful. The maps help you find things when you are hopelessly lost and wandering around.
Since the journal is so hard to keep track of, with all the pages that are now in there, I have been marking quests off in the book and this is very helpful. Definitely worth the money. |
Cool. Just what i need to add into my collection! A decent guidebook with full colorful pages of fantasy creatures. haha
I'd say it's a good 100 pages at least!? =D how much is it anyway? |
