i am in balmora and i realise i must be being a dunce but i got the quest from the champion at Ft.Moonmouth but i can not find the thieves guild. i have been looking for the book honor amongst thieves but can't find it. i reckon there is an obvious solution but i think part of my brain has shut down. please help

There's a thieves guild in a building called South Wall. It's on the southern part of town. The verymost south-western building.

hmmm? if you activate your map, and then put it on local. you can see some golden box. put your mouse cursor on it and it will tell you that building's name old bean.

you might want to check the x on the upper right map area so it stays on the screen old bean.

The code book? look for the lady ( near the front door ) at south wall. bribe her or admire her until her disposition towards you is 70%++. then ask her for the book.
