Okay. In this game there is this really, really, really tough NPC with this totally hot set of full orcish medium armor (about 2.5x the strength bonemold and a 15% weight increase) AND this incredibly powerful UBER-SWORD.

As a 9th level wizard with all of 50 or so hit points,(custom class, think mage but only more magic & less other abilities) I should just die, right?

Well, don't mess with a Telavanni Mouth... I simultaneously levitated & healed my butt right out of there with one of my custom combo-spells... Landed on the nearest rock pillar, drank a couple of restore magicka potions...

And about 20 fireballs later... I have wonderful screen shot of the armour and sword in my hall of trophies...

if my memory is correct, umbra is two handed long sword right?

uhh...I prefer one handed long sword. because I like to wear shield.

You're a mage.. so a two-handed long sword would come in handy .. ? ;)

You could always sell the sword... if you could find a vendor with 110.000 gold ;)
