Hey guys,

The past few days, i have been stuck on the Mage quest in Vivec. The Mage master, asked me to find out information about the disappearance of the dwarves. I have searched for about 5-6 hours to find items or anything to convince him and have found NOTHING.
The worst thing about it is, hes the only guy who is high enough to continue to give me duties.

Can anyone help me with this quest? I would appreciate any information given.

The Arch Mage is a complete tool. he has no idea what he is asking. This quest takes forever. Go talk to Edwinna in Ald'Rhun (?) and ask about the dwarves, she should send you on the first stage of the mission. Over all it's a long Journey before you solve the disapperance of the dwarves.

it kinda ties in with the edwinna elberts quests..
if by doing her quests and the places you goto you should have come across 3 books "hanging gardens"(quest excavation) "divine metaphysics"(from bethamez) "the egg of time"(from mzuleft).once you have the 3 books you can get them translated by either yagrum bagarn(patient in fyr's corpusarium), or telvanni sorcerer baladas demnevanni. use the topic "dissapearance of the dwarves". and the books will be translated.now report back to trebonius.

I haven't done any of her quests. I think the first one she asked for was to find the book that started with a "c" (Chadivilian or somtin?) I went to vivec early in the game and stole the book and i think sold it. I am not sure who i sold it to, so i can not progress in her quests either.

Could any of you provide me with where exactly the 3 books are?

I think the merchant should still have it in his stock; you took it from one of the stands right? Merchant stock replinishes over time, though I'm not 100% how it works on a rare book like that. Wouldn't hurt to try bartering with Jobasha and seeing if he has it up for grabs though.

There's more than one copy of this book in the world. I think i saw one in one of Vivec's libraries or bookstores.
