Well, I have started planning a D&D campaign lately due to my creativity which should be harnessed in other ways I suppose. I say this because there is no way I could ever get a D&D group going where I have lived for the past 3 years. Well, I finally must give into my urge to DM again. So here's a wrap-up of the campaign I've been working on:

Recently the common rabble have been riled up over recent developments across the countryside. Rumours tell of the dead, walking the land again, lead by an unknown force. Other rumours tell of demons working their way into the clergy in small villages as a means to corrupt and recruit those willing to become heretics. The church leaders are slowly beggining to worry about their existence and therefore have come up with a plan to hopefully bring these heretics into the light, so that they may be purged. The highest offical of the church has decided that a small band of troubled souls shall be their savoirs. These troubled souls are one broken Inquisitor, a mercenary captain who has been in the employ of the church for years and others that will follow them to the depths of hell and back again. May God have mercy on their souls...

Anyways, the Inquisitor role and mercenary captiain role shall be chosen by the group or rolled for. The other players will be an assortment of followers, some examples being: mercenary soldier, fanatic (barbarian perhaps), cleric, paladin, magic users wishing to use their arts against those who would use it for evil, etc. Players will be starting at level 5, unless the majority wants to start at a lower level.
