<fontcolor"Orange">When you dual class, you have to surpass the level of the original class. For example, if you dualed your thief at level 10, you would have to make it to level 11 with your fighter to be able to use your thief skills again. You also aren't able to level up any more in the Thief when you dual class.
Hope that this helps ya! [ 02-20-2002: Message edited by: Sir Goulum ]
|
When you dual you do not gain your abilities back until your new Class surpases your previous. Eg. Lvl 12 Thief to Fighter will not get theif skills until Fighter hits Lvl 13.

the basic idea in dual-classing is to gain basic abilities in one class before specializing on your real class. a standard tactic is to start as a fighter to get better THAC0 and more weapon proficiencies and then dual to mage, cleric, thief or another more versatile class.
dualing a thief can make a great fighter with limited backstab abilities (full backstab if you dual late enough). However, I would not recommend to dual a mage for example, as this will leave you as a figther, thief or whatever you dualed to with some magic missiles and maybe Web and Acid Arrows. |
