I am new to RPing and would love to get involved but don't have a very big knowledge of D&D rules. Do I need to know a lot of things about D&D?

My friend, I have only ever played 1 game of AD&D and read a few various things and I enjoy a good RP. So no you probably only need to know the basics unless specifically stated.

I would recommend joining a newer one, not one that is up to their 2nd or 3rd thread because by then most of the players are already involved.
