As you enter the large dwarven tavern you are over come with a sense of warmth and comfort, in front of you are many large seated chairs built especially for dwarves and many smaller chairs for humans. Behind a large oaken bar a barrel chested dwarf stands, his beard reachign down to his stomach in a cascade of browns. His beaming smile is broken as these words exit his mouth,
"Welcome Friend, Take a seat"

***This is my first attempt at anything in this part of IW, its a nice idea i have used in a different site (with the help of some friends) please enjoy your stay, discuss tales of your adventures and try and stay in character (i have learnt that having too many ooc posts makes the place seem to much like Cloudy's no that theres anything wrong with that but two would be kind of stupid.
Rules(same as the last site, may be edited on approval)
-No Arrogant Elves(just to keep the character of the emnity between dwarves and elves)
-Offensive posts shall be deleted
-You may order form the bar but those who are too rowdy shall be thrown out ;)
-No Arrogant Elves

more rules may be implemented when i think of them/find need for them/find my original thread or the original forum to start with.

Hope this takes off,
Joseph Bugmann

Calaethis Dragonsbane 09-26-2002 04:20 PM

Calaethis looks at the entrance and sneers, with a look of arrogence on his face, he leaves haughtily, and stalks off, his cloak flowing behind him.

***OOC, u said NO ELVES. SO I WONT come in...***

A figure cloaked in shadows slinked silently into the inn and settled down in a quiet booth in the back. It was remarkable, because even as the innkeeper stared at him the shadows seemed to move around him cloaking his face and form. When the bearded dwarven lass came over to take his order the figure simply ordered a cup of hot water, and he tossed the server a shiny gold piece. The dwarven lass brough the mug, but it sat on the table undisturbed as the figure sat there, presumably deep in thought.

"Ye are welcome if your, not going to talk down to us dwarves,
i think i should make this clear."
Joseph

"Hey shadow lad ya dunnay wanna bother with the water, ye should try some o' this here Bugmann's brew!"

Calaethis spun around in the street, and halted. "So, you would have me?" he sneered slightly "What makes you think I'd want to participate in a dwarven inn? All you'd do is make comments about 'pouncy' elves..." Then he shrugged "Prove me wrong" with that, he strode into the inn, his cloak still flapping around him, and ducking slightly, he found a table in a corner, and sat down. Looking at the one of the waitresses, he summoned her "Ale please..." while thinking lets taste this "fabled" dwarven brew...

FelixJaeger 09-26-2002 04:38 PM

"ahh so i tempted ye did i"
*winks at cal*
"i thort id lost a suctomer then"
"so wheres our warbling adventurers here to spin us a yarn? or if you really convince us maybe there'll be a free drink in it for ya!"
Joseph

Calaethis Dragonsbane 09-26-2002 04:42 PM

"You wish me to trade drinking stories? Or brag of my victories in battle? I'm sorry, but I don't like to brag... the next time, fate may decide to teach me a lesson about arrogence..." Seeing the dwarves sigh he sipped his ale and shuddered thinking yuk, this stuff is horrible, still I will finish the tankard... turning back to the dwarf he said "Very well, you see my sword?" Calaethis lifted it up so the dwarf could see, "This blade has ended the life of many a dragon, only evil ones mind you..."

FelixJaeger 09-26-2002 04:48 PM

"dunnay try to keep your disgust from me laddy, i have a bottle of Moonshone Elder in the back if you would like to sample that, i guess some people aren't 'man' enough to take there ales"

*drains a full tankard*

"well if you want to exchange dragonslaying stories Ulli the Slayer shall be along later, as for me i have nay messed with a wyrm or its kin, now giants, thats a different matter, i have slain manny a giant with me axe"
signals over to the wall mounted Great-Axe.
Joseph

Calaethis Dragonsbane 09-26-2002 04:50 PM

Calaethis drains the rest of the tankard in one. "Never say an elf couldn't hold his ale. I just prefer.. well, something less 'robust', with elegence and flavour.." Calaethis trails off "Although, I thank you for you're offer, and I accept."

The figure in the corner seemed to snap out of its reverie at that point and looked around. He reached up and removed his hood, and all of a sudden his face came into view. He had jet black hair and piercing green eyes. He was human, but one would swear he had elven ancestors somewhere far back in his family tree, him big slightly slimmer, and his ears being a little more pointed than the average man. Many had wondered what became of Dantes after the fall of the modding mage, since he had not been seen since. And here he sits in a dwarven bar. Rumor had been that he was wandering the planes, searching for a way to end the hunger that had taken refuge in the hills.
"The water will be fine for me, thank you" Dantes murmered, as he crushed some herbs into the water, and sipped.
