Hello, Ilsha WELCOME TO IRONWORKS!!! The best way to join a clan is to IM (or e-mail) the head of the clan and ask. Some are easy, some are hard, some make you do humiliating things. You don't have to join a clan to RP, though. IM the Thread Starter, and ask to write yourself in, or go to one that is marked as open (like Hazardous Times or Waterdale City. Some hints: Don't kill anyone else's character, and don't try to do totally unbelevable things-nobody likes super-powerful characters. Don't be afraid to have some weaknesses. But above all- have fun.

If you wanna join a clan, I suggest the ORT. They seem to be the most active at the moment.
But if you just wanna join RP'ing, I suggest you dont join a clan at all, just join in a thread where it says 'open'.
Those threads are the most active at the moment. ;) </font>

If you are unsure, you can use the pm option to contact a member who is in that thread or who started it and ask privately if you can join in. Some threads tell you right off they are open to all who wish to play and some say they are closed.

Yes, you're more than welcome to come join the ORT if you want a fun clan [img]smile.gif[/img] . Note though that we don't roleplay in any serious manner, ie we don't go on campaigns or kill baddies or roll dice at all. One thing I would recommend is to read the first post of any RP thread, or the first few posts, to get an idea of what's going on in them. So then if you want to join in you'll know what they're about and generally how they are RP'ing. Most will welcome you and are pretty relaxed about it but it's a good idea not to post something that is completely off track to what's going on in the RP. ehhmm....anyway *L* WELCOME to IW!! *waves*...as has been mentioned, you don't have to join a clan to be in a thread, and some threads are dice, some are :D well, there is NO good explanation for the ORT other than FUN!! heehee
But some threads are story-telling roleplay like mine, the TAVERN thread...you might read the first post and pm me if you'd like to jump in, we will need more characters real soon....personally, I like the roleplaying without the dice throwing or hit marks, etc. :D
