ok i completed all the quests until about the end of chapter 3.. and towards the middle i dual classed yoshimo (who was at the time level 13 bounty hunter) into a figher also.. but now i can't use any of his thieving abilities.. why cant i use his thieving skills anymore?

Dont worry, wait for him to level up. I dont know how many levels it takes before he can use his thieving abilities, but they will come back. Either that or you are wearing armour that does not allow him to use his thieving abilities. Minsc cant "Hide in Shadows" when he is wearing armour greater than Studded leather.

If you dual-class someone, he can't use the skills and abilities of the class he started out with until he reaches, with his second class, one level higher than the level at which you dualed him. Which means in your case that you'll have to wait until Yoshi reaches level 14 as a Fighter before he can use his Thief skills again.

Dual-Classed characters regain their abilities from starting class, when they are 1 level higher in their second class than they were in their first when they chose to dual. So you have ot get Yoshimo to level 14 to regain his thieving skills. I made him dual immediately, when I met him and so got a pretty nice tank with Celestial Fury.

Celestial Fury is an awesome Katana you get when defeating a party of really tough house-owners in the temple district (right above the order of the radiant heart)

However you probably won't see Yoshi regain his abilities as he is going to betray you in Spelhold.

everyone says that you should drop yoshi because he betrays you...however, everyone neglects to mention that you can get him back! he was under a Geas and had to betray you or he would die...you get mucho exp for bringing him back to life [img]smile.gif[/img]

you can't "bring him back to life". you can only take his heart to the ilmater temple for xp. he is as dead as flat earth theory.
