"This is not the time...

...and it is certainly not the place.

That goes to you too Edwin. I DO NOT want two invaluable party members killing each other in Suldenessar! Bad NPCs!!!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

So guys what can I do about this little "situation" I have on my hands. No matter what I do, these two gentlemen have decided that they simply must beat each others brains out, right in the middle of one of the most challenging areas that I have yet to encounter in this game.

Of course, Minsk horribly mutilates poor lil Edwin each reload. I have tried everything to stop them from killing each other (at least until I can get out of the city). I have cast silence on Edwin, so he can't start his baiting of Minsk. I have put them at opposite ends of any platform that we stand on. I have even tried to dominate or confuse them both after the fight starts, and hope that they decide to cool down. Nothing works. Minsk is berserk, so he _will_ kill Edwin.

Now, here is my real quandry. I realy like both of these NPCs. I like Edwin for the power-play aspect. He is an awesome spellcaster. I like Minsk for the RP aspect. I just can't wait to hear what he will come out with next. Also, his little dialogues with Jan crack me up.

I don't want to lose either. How can I stop the carnage?

Helm of opposite alighnement did wonders for Viconia and Keldorn in my game

Wow, cool, thanks! but...

Gimmie more!

Where does one find this amazing sounding item? It could well be the answer to all of my needs (well, one of them... but don't need to delve into the others!).

Yeah were can i fint that helmet?

Why would you want to have a party of differently alligned characters in the first place. The most raddical party I have every had was me (evil fighter), Korgan, Viconia, Edwin, Jan, and Hear'Dalis (or however you spell his stupid name). Mixing good with evil characters isnt a good idea in my opinion. Each allignment has different NPCs for a reason. Good allignment is powerfully magical (unless you have Keldorn), where as the evil allignment is very specialist (having a straight Mage, Edwin, a straight Cleric, Viconia, a straight Fighter, Korgan, and whatever you are). Stick to the strengths of each allignemnt, but mix aroung the characters.

humm.. people might want to have Edwin and Minsc in the same party. Therefor have that helm to do Edwin a nice guy. :D

The helm of oposite alinment sounds like a great idea!!Since mages cant wear helmets I wonder what an evil minsc would say??

Well i have Minsc with the helmet and he hasn`t spoken a word and now he has haved the helmet for about 3days in game.

You can use Imoen in any aligned party, guess blood is thicker than water And Yoshi is quite happy with an evil party as well.

Nice to see someone else using Haer'Dallis, he's always been a favourite of mine (except he is a crap bard :( )

Another sure way to end the fight between NPCs is to cast maze on one of them. The fight will stop and the remaining one would ask to join your party. The same goes for the mazed one when he returns from the pocket dimension.
@PoesRaven
I used HaerDalis as well in an evil party.Interesting character!
