I have D'Soto's Shall, and keep shouting 'Elseramavin' (the sacred word) to the dragon flying around The Shire in front of the Dragon Spire... Why won't he respond to me?! I'm very frustrated because I've been chasing the ungrateful cur for hours trying to get a response ... any help with contacting the dragon?

I have had the same problem, and I think I know the answer. I gave up on the Dragon and went to do the Stout Mines. I met with the king and he wants me to get him some Dragon Ore so he can fashion a suit of Dragon Armor that will protect you from the flames. I'm guessing after you get this you can either talk with the Dragon, or go into the cave with the Bronze Fire-breather. Either way it should eventually lead to talkin with the scaley bastard.

BTW you have to find a Miner's Writ off a torched dead Stout to get into the mines. He's around the Dragon spire area in a little cove of trees.

i ve the same problem with the dragon and i ll try to do the stout mines first too...

i could imagin, that u need to meet the dragon in his cave.

however it wouldn t hurt to do the stout mines first =)

You don't need to find that Writ if you have gone thru the boogre hovel dungeon you can talk the mine "receptionist" into "finding one for ya" if you give him some booger ale you found earlier.
