So I've got almost 160,000 in gold, and I'm willing to spend, but I haven't found anything worth buying other then the Gauntlets O' Hill Giant Strength.

Any suggestions on what to buy and where to buy it? Opinions on best bang for the gold piece?

That depends on what kind of stuff you need; which weapons do you use, what kind of armor are your characters wearing, maybe you need a few spells for your wizard(s)?

Even without the bonus merchants, there's still a lot of good stuff that can be bought in Athkatla and Trademeet. Unless, of course, you've already bought everything.

EDIT: By the way, I think that should be Belt of Hill Giant Strength, not Gauntlets. ;)

Oops, you're right, it is a belt. (I guess that would explain why it hung loose on my wrists).
I've got a Kensai/Mage, and would be looking for anything useful in lowering ac as well as some cool weapons (can't use Carsomyr), especially bastard swords.

Hmmm... there are not a lot of good bastard swords in the game, and the ones that are halfway decent are only found quite late in the game.

Kensai/Mage eh? If you're proficient with katanae, you really should download those bonus merchants, if you haven't already got them. You can buy a great katana from one of them, that gives an AC bonus and extra spell slots. For other weapons I'd recommend taking a look at what Bernard sells in the Copper Coronet. If you've done the quests there you will find some nice ones. Also, check out Trademeet. Again after doing some quests, you'll be able to find some killer items there.
