I want to try out the Bard and i am wondering on how would i set up my attributes up (str, dex....) and what weapon prof is better since he has only can hold one weapon

I was led to believe you set them up like you would a thief, exept that he will need a high Charisma, where the Thief does not.
That is just my opinion, though

Ive never played a bard, and i dont have the game manuals here, but i suppose intelligence will be important for the spells.

I suggest you pump up his dexterity, due to the fact he is limited in armour, strength is not really important, but constitution is, as Bards dont get massive HP levels, Charisma and intelligence are both important: but forget about wisdom. As for weapon proficiencies I strongly suggest missile weapons, the best weapon in the game as far as im concerned is a crossbow, believe it's a +5 Thaco bonus, combine that with the bracers of archery and your gonna be tough, other than that I suggest large swords, as their are plent to choose from.

That crossbow is nice, but Long bow of Marksmanship fires twice as fast and your bard will be able to use. I hily recomend it. Also, you get the bow at the end of chapter 3, the crossbow is unavailable until chapter 5.

thanks for yor replies. I have a Bard with 14 str 16 dex 16 con 17 int 10 wis 15 or 16 chr with * large swords and * bow

He is also with my thief and fighter i made up too
