how do i get the elder orbs eye for the matron mother. i cant find anyway of getting out of the mind flayer prison is there another way.

go to the beholder lairs and kill elder.. you should get the eye from the first one...
and if youre in the ilithid place you can get the blood from the evil mastermind ;)
no need for the eye after that

the illithids put collars on you so you die instantly

eh? not in my game... they just suck your brains out.. and kill you ;)
they are hard to kill..
easier way is that you go to beholder lairs and kill elder orb.. [img]smile.gif[/img]
or those fishmen..

Kill both the illithid and the beholders.Then pay a visit to the kuo-toans and kill them too.
Return to the drow city and impress the matron mother by having all three required items! :D
Seriously though the mind flayer lair is a royal pain!Try to lure one illithid at the time to your party.
Cooperate with the githyanki to initiate your escape from the illithid city.After that you are on your own!
