I am a chronical restarter and i`m soloing with a cavalier. i got level 20 in the underdark wielding the carsomyr and i`m thinking of restarting the game because it got too damn easy!! what should i solo with so that the game is fun and NOT that easy. Is soloing with an elven archer fun? i`d maybe like to try that but which prof. slots are best? Crossbow? i don`t want to solo with a fighter or paladin kit anymore, it made me sick in the end. are there any fun alternative classes?

One kit that I find hard to solo with, is the Beastmaster.
Atleast if your difficulty-mode is on hard or insane.
He is pretty hard because he cant use metal-equipment, and his only good ability is to summon or charm animals.
If you will try him, maybe give him profs in Spear and Crossbow.

see ya!

if you want a challenge, set yourself some restrictions (i´m trying a game with a wizard without memorising spells atm)... see the thread discworld challenge for details if i can ever be bothered to post them
it´s an absolute blast because you need to work with what you have (hmm, what would mcgyver do with nothing but a glitterdust scroll, the polymorph ability of the cloak of the sewers and a ring of human influence... ah, gotcha!)

if you want a challenge, think of a way to unman (or unwoman ;) ) your character that fits a theme... a forsaken cleric (no magic)... a master pickpocket (without points in hiding/move silently) or whatever strikes your fancy...
